  There will be a quiz on the  US Constitution.  It will be on Tuesday, 3/30/10 for ACE classes and Wednesday, 3/31/10 for BDF classes.  It will include information from the following: worksheet US constitution--Topics/Highlights(know these topics that you researched and took notes on: Constitution History, Amendments,Slavery,women,The Bill Of Rights, and How it works.  You will also need to  know from the worksheet on the 3 branches of government--Executive,Legislative,Judicial; Checks and Balances in the Constitution.

   Homework assigned for class after test.  Read and highlight the 2 sided sheet on the Constitution.  Look up on the internet and print out a copy of the Bill of Rights and bring it to next class.

  Homework due 3/18/19(ACe, BDF classes--complete the workstarted in class on the US constitution.  All notes to be done using Cornell approach.

   Homework for today ACE classes and Monday- BDF classes--read and highlight worksheet onStates form a Confederation.

  Test--Thursday 3/18--ACE classes, Friday 3/19 BDF classes-- the following material will be covered:  Battles of the Revolution, Patrick Henry worksheet,Declaration of Independence questions(inalienable rights and tyrannical acts, Revolution worksheet #2, power point on Victory and Articles of confederation and Treaty of Paris.  Thee will not be a study guideand it will be an objective question/short answer test.

   Read the Declaration of Independence( either bring home a text book or find it on line.  Answer the following questions:

   1)  What is a preamble? What does the Declaratio preamble say?

   2)  What are the inalienable rights written about ?

   3) What were the listed tyrannical acts committed against the colonists by the King?

  Read and highlight worksheet on Patrick Henry.  Do the ten challenges on the back. Be prepared for a mini checkup on this worksheet.
