February 18/22, 2011

For ACE classes(Wednesday--2/23/11) and BDF classes(Thursday-2/24/11)- continue presentation of steps to Revolution and War. Also--we will begin to present Black History projects on Wednesday and Thursday. Most projects will be presented the following week. anyone who has completed their project should have it in class either next Wednesday or Thursday. word of the day # 34.

February 16/17, 2011

All classes--You will have part of the next class period(Friday for ACE classas) and (Tuesday for

BDF classes) to complete your steps project. We will begin presentation of the steps the last half of the period. Word of the Day # 33. REMINDER---Black History month projects are due by next Wednesday--February 23.

February 14/15, 2011

All classes--Black History month projects research will be done during classtime on Monday and Tuesday(2/14--2/15) only. After the 15th, all work on black History project will be done at home with your group. Projects will be due the week of February 21.

Footsteps to revolution and the Revolutionary War battles will be worked on in Monday and Wednesday and Friday for ACE classes and Tuesday, Thursday and the following Tuesday for BDF classes. Refer to the Steps to Revolution and War for information on how to write and illustrate each foot print.

Black History Month Project--You should be developing information for your subject. This is not a report but rather a creative way of developing information on your person. You may use music, dance, murals, poetry, rap or any other creative approach as long as it is approved by me in advance. ACE classes will meet on Monday in the Media center to continue the work. BDF classes will meet in my classroom on Friday and then proceed to the Media Center.

American Revolution "Footsteps to History" project. All classes on Monday(ACE ) and Tuesday (BDF) will also be researching their causes of the revolution(begun in class last week) and the 2 new battles or other events given out in class on Thursday and Friday.

Frbruary 2/3, 2011

IMPORTANT CHANGE--- Due to the cancellation of school on Wednesday(today) the Mid year assessment will still be given on Tuesday, February 8 (but now for ACE classes) and Wednesday, February 9 (now for BDF classes). There will be a review class for BDF classes on Thursday(tomorrow) during the regular class period. There will also be a review session for any student--any class on Thursday morning at 7:10 am as well as Thursday after school from 2:30 until 3:30 for any student. Additionally there will be a review session Tuesday morning for any ACE student at 7:10 am. There will also be a review session Tuesday after school and Wednesday morning for any BDF student. During class on Friday (2/4/11) and Monday(2/7/11) there will be small group review in class with the substitute.
